METHODIST CLASS HAS
DELIGHTFUL OYSTER ROAST
The Men's Class of the Methodist
Sunday school had a delightful oyster
roast at the city light plant on last
Thursday night, the occasion being
the most delightful of the out- ;
ings the class has had the past year.
Mr. P. J. Knies took charge of the
work of roasting the oysters, and the
members of the class and their guests
were soon busy enjoying the feast.
A long table had been built in front
of the plant and the arrangements for
the feast were all that could he asked 1
for.
New officers for the class will be I
named Sunday to serve for the ensu
ing church year, beginning Decem
ber Ist.

TOTAL OF 7,270,575 BALES
Washington, Nov. 21. —Total gai
nings of the 1921 cotton crop up to
November 14 amounted to 7,270,575
bales, an addition of 625,000 hales in
the two weeks prior to November 14,
the Census Bureau announced today.
Ginnings as recorded by the Census
Bureau now exceed hv 723,676 hales
the quantity forecast in the prelimi
nary estimate of the crop made by
the Department of Agriculture earlv
in October. A final estimate of this
year’s crop will he announced by the
Department of Agriculture on Decern
