THE VIDALIA W. M. S.
A very important business meeting
of the Methodist Woman's Mission
ary Society was held at the church
last Monday afternoon.
After a song, the scripture lesson
was read by the president, followed
by prayer. The minutes of the last
meeting were read and approved.
The reports of the different superin
tendents showed that the society is
doing some excellent work. The
large number of members present
proves that the interest is very great.
After disposing of all the old busi
ness, several items of interest, new
to the society, were brought up by
the president.
The play—‘Al Martin’s Country
Store”— w’hich was recently given
under the auspices of the soe’ety, was
a splendid success. Over one hun
dred dollars was the sum realized.
The society wishes to thank each and
every one who in any way helped to
make the play a success. Their co
operation and interest is what made
the play successful and we are indeed
very grateful to them. We apprec'-
ated very much the kindness of the
merchants who helped stock the coun
| try store, and especially the Modern
Farm Implement Company and Lead
er & Rosansky.
Next Monday afterneon the Mis
sion Study Class will meet at the
church at 5:00 o’clock, so please be
there promptly at the hour.
