MELON SHIPMENTS HEAVY
FROM DISTRICT PAST WEEK
Melon shipments from the district!
composed of the counties of Toombs,
Montgomery, Wheeler and Telfair,
have been heavy the past week, ac-1
cording to Manager Clark.
Prices have been considerably off
the past week, prices received for 22
pound melons hardly justifying sh’p
ments. However, prices for 28, 30 and
32 pound melons are holding up well
and give the growers a satisfactory
profit.
