CO-OPERATIVE HOG SALE
VIDALIA, SEPTEMBER 28
The first co-operative hog sale of
the fall season at Vidalia will be held
September 28th. Farmers desiring to
list hogs for this sale can find me on
the streets of Vidalia any first and
third Saturday of any month. We
mut have the hogs listed at least 10
days before the sale, so as to he sure
of cars and to have time to notify the
buyers- This gives two and a haif
months for hogs to he put in market
shape for this sale, and from the way
farmers are reporting to me, I believe
we will have at least three cars. Any
hog from 70 pounds up will be ac
cepted. We will have a man here
from the Agricultural College at Ath
ens to do the grading, as we want a
disinterested man, yet one who knows
the grades and whom the buyers know
well, so they will not hesitate to hid.
Tn case you miss seeing me, just drop
me a postal at Lyons and T will know
to reserve space for your hogs.
Tn these sales we require that the
hogs he listed before brought, and
the farmers who list hogs always un
derstand that they will he expected
to have their hogs there on the day
of the sale, preferably early in the
morning, as the space will he reserv
ed for their hogs. So far those list
ing hogs for sales have been extreme
ly prompt and in every case had their
hogs there ready for business. That
spirit helps the sales, and if we will
carry this further and see that our
neighbors who have hogs to sell send
notice to me, we can make our sales
mean a great deal in our pocket-books.
Write me how many you will be
gin to get ready for this sale, wheth
er it be one or a hundred or more.
C. G. GARNER,
Toombs Co. Agent.
You Do More Work,
You are more ambitious and you get more
enjoyment out of everything when your
blood is in good condition. Impurities in
the blood have a very depressing effect on
the system, causing weakness, laziness,
nervousness and sickness.
GROVE S TASTELESS Chill TONIC
restores Energy and Vitality by Purifying
and Enriching the Blood. When you feel
its strengthening, invigorating effect, see
how it brings color to the cheeks and how
it improves the appetite, you will then
appreciate its true tonic value.
GROVE’S TASTELESS Chill TONIC
is not a patent medicine, it is simply
IRON and QUININE suspended in Syrup.
So pleasant even children like it. The
blood needs Quinine to Purify it and IRON
to Enrich it. These reliable tonic prop
erties never fail to drive out impurities in
the blood.
The Strength-Creating Power of GROVE’S
TASTELESS Chill TONIC has made it
the favorite tonic in thousands of homes.
More than thirty-five years ago, folks
would ride a long distance to get GROVE’S
TASTELESS Chill TONIC when a
member of their family had Malaria or
needed a body-building, strength-giving
tonic. The formula is just the same to
day, and you can get it from any drug
store. 60c per bottle. *
