Catarrhal Deafness Cannot Be Cured
by local applications, as they cannot reach
the diseased portion of the ear There Is
only one way to curs catarrhal deafness,
and that Is by a constitutional remedy.
Catarrhal Deafness is caused by an In

the Eustachian Tube. When this tube li
Inflamed you have a rumbling sound or Im
perfect hearing, and when It Is entirely

inflammation can be reduced and this tube
restored to Its normal condition, hearing
will be destroyed forever Many cases ot
deafness are caused by catarrh, which If

ERNEST WIMBERLY
FOR REPRESENTATIVE
MR. WIMBERLY HAS MADE ENVI
-1 ABLE RECORD BOTH IN HIGH
SCHOOL AND COLLEGE—BELL
SUITED FOB PLACE TO WHICH
' HE ASPIRES.
’ Be#ow be found the announce
ment and platform of Ernest C. Wim
-1 berly as candidate for Representative,
one of Lyons and! Toombs county’s
most brilliant young men in whose
career scores of friends have watch
[ ed with interest from his High School
* days up to the present time.
Mr. Wimberly has through con
scientious effort and careful applica
i tion made an enviable record for him
self in his career both in High School
and at the University of Georgia as
* well as proving himself an efficient
instructor at Fulton High School in
* Atlanta.
1 Probably no other young man of
Toombs county’s production is more
suited' fr the place sought after than
r Ernest C. Wimberly.
These are a few of the honors con
ferred upon him during his four years
at the University: Freshman Debate,
Freshman Impromptu Debate, So
phomore Debate, Sophomore Declam
ation, Junior Cabinet (10 leading
Juniors), Junior Oration, Junior Im
promptu Debate, Champion Debate,
Senor Round Table (10 leading Sen
iors), Editor-in-chief of the College
paper, President of the Spanish Club,
President of Phi Kappa, and Phi Kap
pa Key.
Mr. Wimberley’s platform is uni
que and elaborates his interest in the
matter, it follows:
The following are the main planks
1 of the platform on which I offer my
candidacy to the people for Repres
enatitave:
1. To substitute, in lieu of the pres
ent system of ad valorem general
property taxation, a graduated in
come tax; which is a more just tax,
because it taxes the real wealth of the
State. The farmer is bearing prac
tically the entire burden of the State,
while the capiltalists, accumlating
thousands annually, pay taxes anly
on his office space and furniture, or
the few buildings which contain his
money-making industry. Why not
levy the tax where the tax is due?
2. To practice rigid economy.
There are hundreds of useless and ex
pensive State offices that should ds
abolished, thereby saving thousands
of dollars annually. This is just one
of the numerous ways by which econ
omy can be practiced.
3. To have biennial sessions of the
State Legislature, thereby saving the
State vast sums and the Legislators
much time. You are aware of the
fact that we have entirely too much
legislation.
4. To use untiring efforts in sup
porting measures that mean for the
benefit of the people of this county,
and the State at large.
Below is the anonuncement:
For Representative, Toombs County
I use this privilege to announce my
candidacy for the office of Represen
tative of Toombs county. I will ap
preciate your support.
