Ex-Senator H. H. Elders is in the
race for representative, as will be j
noted by his announcement in another i
column of this issue of the Journal, j
He says he is encourged to make
this announcement through the per
sonal assurances of friends of sup
port, and these assurances, he says
comes from many who have never
npported him before.
Mr. Elders has served the county
several years as representative, and
two terms as senator. While in the
House and Senate he made an envi
able reputation for himself as one
of the leaders in both houses. His
ability is unquestioned.
He will conduct a vigorous cam
paign, and says that he fully expects
to De elected.

Quo of the most enjoyable enter

by Mr. and Mrs. Jas. L. Moore at their
country home complimenting their
daughter and granddaughter, Mrs.
Raymond L. Colson and little Miss
Mary Virginia Colson of Iloloxi, Miss.
After a pleasant morning a delightful
dinner was served on tables in a large

.This has been a year for the
! Methodist churches of Truetlen coun
ty. Eearly in March plans were made
'by Rev. E. L. Wainwright, pastor of
: the Soperton circuit, for a cpunty
! wide revival to be held this year.
During that month twenty-three ser
vices were held in the churches,
school houses, and private homes, and i
one hundred and three homes were
visited.
Since March revival meetings have
| been held at Soperton, Rosemont,
Lothair, Midway and Gillis Springs
and at each of these churches great
and glorious good was accomplished.
Mr. Wainwright was assisted in the
meetings by some very able helpers.

Remember The Sabbath Day
To Keep It Holy
i
And don’t forget the next clause: “Six days
shalt thou labor.”
This is the law of God which, when broken,
brings sure consequence.
We must labor on six days, as well as rest on
the seventh.
You can most easily keep the Sabbath by going
to Sunday School and church regularly.
You Are Welcome At Our
