THE ORPHANAGE QUESTION
To the citizens of Vidalia and sur
rounding territory:
Perhaps you read in the* Advance of
November 2nd of the effort which is
being made by the Primitive Baptists
erf Georgia to establish an orphanage
somewhere within the state. Well, I
want i located here in Vidalia, and
so do) you. Will you help me to get
it? It will be a valuable asset for
our town in many ways. Our people
from all parts of the state will be vis
iting the home, and all correspondence
and literature going out from the or
phanage will serve to advertise our
city. And last, but not least, we will.
have the consciousness of having
dene a good work for the needy.
While this movement is being fos
tered by our Primitive people, its
service is not to be restricted to our
orphans, but will be undenominational.
If we should fail to give proper en
couragement to this enterprise, then
some other Georgia town will take it
from us.
Let’s get together and secure its
location here at once. T will explain
the plans more fully later.
Sincerely,
T. E. SIKES.
