GROWERS CONVENTION
The regular monthly meeting of
the Cotton Growers was held here
Tuesday and while there was but a
small attendance, every member
present seemed delighted at the suc
cess they have met with so far.
Mr. A. L. Potter was elected tem
porary secretary and the session was
opened and presided over by Col.
H. S. White. Letters were read

from State President, M. L. Johnson,
President Harvie Jordan, and Dan
iel J. Sully, the king bull of all cot
ton speculators.
The question of appointing local
organizers came in for a good
amount of discussion and upon mo
tion by Rev. C. D. Adams the
chairman was empowered to appoint
one local organizer for each malitia
district with power to appoint an
assistant if necessary.
