of my friend, Mr. C. 0. Morgan,

the night. I did not get out of

came into Sylvania, loaded up on
liquor and proceeded to paint
the town. Among other inno
cent frivolities lie stabbed a dar

Waters, and took leg bail.

placed in the hands of Mr. J. W.
Arnett, the Deputy Sheriff, who
at once got into communication
with the outside world and soon
had him located in South Caro
lina. Mr. Arnett set about to se
cure a requisition and all neces
sary papers and when in proper
shape notified the South Carolina
authorities that lie was wanted.
Not long after he received notice
of his arrest. Mr. Arnett left
Sylvania on the afternoon train
Saturday, returned with his
prisoner and had him convicted
iu the City Court on Tuesday
following.
