Granting that a few shops, and
possibly houses for operatives, be lo
cated on the high lands adjaoent,
would not these very shops get their
applies from h^-e, and wonld not
operatives seek the city to make
purchases? Of contae they
ild. No, we fear no such thing.—
we ask is that thG'road do au im

will surely reap the benefit Grant,
if you please, that a thriving village
springs up there on the lands of Mr.
Day—something we would be glad to
see—wonld not that very fact' alone
call for just what we wonld delight to
see—a street car line to the city from
the mineral spring at that point? Of
course it would. Cast away your
fears—they are groundless. Express
your fears rather that the demand for
this will not come soon enough.

The people of North Georgia seem
to think that Brunswick is a perfect

'is, unless it be that she is situated a
little nearer the equatorial regions.—
We have tried both sections, and un
hesitatingly pronounce in luvor of
t]n«L #Tis true ,the thermometer rises
a little higher here than among the
mountainous parts of the State, but
the heat is tempered by a breezo fresh
from the bosom of the Atlantic. The
heat is therefore less oppressive when
the thermometer indicates ninety-five
degrees than it is in upper* Georgia
when the meroury stands at ninety de
grees. Our nights are simply delight
ful, provided one’s sleeping apart
ment is so situated as to get the bon-
