present the rules for the better pres^

quarantine regulations, which they
respectfully suggest be enforced, and
prescribe a penalty for the violation
of the same, which was received.
The finance committee submitted

examine and report upon the matter
of a permanent quarantine station,
beg leave to make the following report
that after considering the advantages
and disadvantages attached to the dif
ferent locations tendered them, they
are Of the opinion that the point in
McCoys river, and known os the
“Bunch of Grass," offered us by Col.
J. T. Collins, is the most valuable, and
they recommen that tbe city purchase
the same at a cost not to exceed the
snm of $1,250.

The following resolntion, adopted
by the Board of Health, was submitt
ed and approvediby Council:
£ Resolved, That the disinfeoting ma
terial'belonging to tbe city of Bruns^
wick and now in charge of the keeper
of the gnnrd house, and any other
that may be placed in his charge, shall
be'subject to tbe orders of any mem
ber of tbe Board of Health, and shall
be delivered to any person bearing
such order. Booh order shall specify
1f the said disinfeotant shall be free of
charge, and if not so specified the
keeper of the guard house shall dbllecb
for such disinfectants furnished on
such order ’he eost price of the same,
viz:
Copperas at three cents per pound.
Carbolic acni'at 75 cents per gallon.
Carbolic powder 6 cents per pound.
Roll sulphur 5 cents per pound.
And he shall pay the money so col
lected to the Clerk and Treasurer of
the city, taking his receipt therefor;
and all orders for soon disinfectants
mast be in writing, and shall be kept
on Mo. . ...

Resolved, Thst no person be allow
ed to dry any green hides south of
“L” street from the first day of May
to the first of November 1882.
Also, tbe following resolntion,

Resolved, That the Board of Health
require that the slops and privy mat
ter accumulating at the guard house
be removed daily from the premises.
An ordinance, to repeal an ordi
nance, to secure the denliness and to
promote and preserve the healthful
ness of tbe city of Brunswick, pre
scribe penalties for a violations of tbe
same, and for other purposes therein
mentioned, except tbe seventh and
tenth sections of tbe same, passed in
council on the 8tb pay of May 1882,
was read the first time, then taken up
by nnanimons consent, read the sec
ond time, by sections, and unanimous
ly passed.

Resolved, That no bill against the
city be audited by the finance com
mittee, or ordered paid by Council,
unless the same be accompanied by
tbe written order or approval of tbe
chairman of the committee having
charge of the department for which
the bill was made.
The resolution was unanimously
adopted.
By Aid. Harvey: ., ■/
Resolved, That the city of Bruns
wick will not, after this date, receive
any convicts from any county except
the county of Glynn, and not from
the county of Glynn, unless one half
of the expense or feeding the* edn-
viots be paid by the said connty.
Tbe resolution was unanimously
adopted.
Aid. L. submitted bids made to
Oceanic Fire Company No. 1, for the
erection of an engine bouse, viz:

Harvey, connoil resolved to furnish
$290,00, one half of the bid of C. H.
