Must bo Had.
In conversation yesterday with a
gentleman of wealth, stopping at the
Oglethorpe. Said he: “Mr. Editor,
you have gotten an elegant hotel, a
beautiful town, splendid drives,
file.!, everything that goes to make
Brunswick superior to Florida, as a
winter resort, but you fail to have
one tiling that you need, and that is
bi tter connections at Jesup. The
idea of taking a passenger out of a
vestibule or other elegant train at
Jesup and compeling him to’stand
around there for three hours is out
of all reason, nud will not be submit
ted to by men of means who are seek
ing comfort and pleasure. Your
Board of Trade should take hold of
this matter and push it vigorously
and keep on pushing until better ac
commodations and closer connections
arc hail at Jesup.” We could blit
feel the force of the gentleman’s re
marks. Why the traveling public
should he thus nfllicted, and Bruns
wick lie made to sulli-r, is a matter
we cannot iind-i-staad. Vigorous
action on the part of the Brumswick
Board of Trade would accomplish
the end sought.
Another Need fo he Supplied.
Ever and anon the Advkrtisek-
Aite.w, has pointed out paying in
vestments to our people, and in many
instances soon had tiic pleasure of
seeing some good men putting their
money into sueli investments. We
are glad to kmnv that another of our
suggestions is about to take shape.—
We refer to a steam laundry. Mr. B.
B. Gray and Capt. Osborne are haul-
lumber to-day for a steam laun
dry, to he located near the back land
ing. They will also erect two cot
tages. If there be any one small in
dustry needed here more than anoth
er, it is a steam laundry. There is
money in it if properly run, and we
trust these gentlemen will find it.—
And there are dozens of other things
requiring small capital to inaugurate
but which will pay big dividends,
and at the same time help to build up
tho town by giving employment to la
bor.
“Hurrah for the Darien Short
Line.”
A private letter from Mr. R. W.
Grubb of Darien, has for its 'post
script, “Hurrah for the Darien Short
Line.” And as we read it our sym
pathetic heart joined, in the refrain,
and we too said “Hurrah for the Da
rien Short Line,” for Brunswick re
joices with her sister city in the pros
pects of the completion of h*er rail
road, for our latest information, from
those who know, is that President
Walker has gotten all the money nec
essary for the completion and equip
ment of the line. The city of Darien,
the day the first train runs through
to the S. F. <fc W. R. R. should place
a wreath of immortelles on the brow
of her noble, self-sacrificing son,
R. K. Walker, who first conceived,
and is now executing a scheme that
will clear away the clouds that have
ovcr-shadqjyed her and shut her in,
and has given her a quick transit to
tlie great lines of travel and com
merce, and that too, in the very face
of obstacles that would make weaker
hearts grow faint and tremble. All
honor to such mefl.

D. B. B. Company, Atlanta, Ga:
My blood had been impure for a
number of yearj, I broke out in ugly
sores over my head and body. I
could get nothing to heal them or
purify my blood (though I had tried
other so called blood purifiers) until
I found that most valuable medi
cine, Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.)
I have beeu using it for nearly a year
now, and in that time have taken
about twelve bottles- and the sores
are all healed and I am nearly'cured.
My health is good and I can eat any
thing I desire. Respectfully,
