The Savannah News says the young lady who was very recently married to Hawes, the suspected Bir mingham murderer, has been inter viewed by a New York newspaper. The interview was short, but it was to the point. The young lady said that if Hawes is guilty, no fate can be too harsh for him, and that, after the cruel manner in which he has deceived her, she cannot believe his protestations of innocence.
