United States.
The figures show that subscriptions
from the employes of all the roads in
the United States amounted to $20,-

subscriptions was 241,280 making an
average of SB3 per capita. There were
1,405 N. C. & St. L. employes who sub

per capita subscription of SBS.

roads in the country whose number of
subscribers were greater than those
subscribing on the N. & C., when one

breeze, for as little as $6 or $lO, what in the world is
the use of sweltering through the hot summer in heavy
woolen garments? Really there’s NO use in it; no
sense in it. Palm Beach, Linen, Mohair, Cool Cloth, —these and
a dozen other feather weight fabrics are the things to wear these
days; they’re made for weather like this, and they’re made to give
you solid comfort in the hottest weather. The cost is as nothing
as compared with their satisfaction.
We carry the very best of summer cool clothes—
