As tax collector of Bartow country, I will be at
the places stated above on the dates specified.
I hope all citizens will make arrangements to pay
their taxes as soon as v possible. The law now prevail
ing requires the payment of interest by delinquent tax
payers from the 20th of December; requires tax col
lectors to make monthly reports of delinquent tax
payers and amount of interest collected by them. It
also imposes severel penalties upon tax collectors for
failure to comply with the law and gives the comp
troller general no discretion to remit these penalties.
It follows, therefore, that my duties are purely
ministerial. I must make collection of the taxes < r
promptly issue a fife and report all delinquents which,
of course, adds cost. -As the law requires me to* clc e
