Our school at this place is progres
sing nicely. The increase in attend

Miss Eva Mae Marr visited Misses

Mr. Sam Smith, of this place has
gone to Rome to make it his future
home. We wish Mr. Smith much suc

Mr. J. W. Shelly, of this place, was
in Cartersville Saturday visiting his
son.

the box supper at Center Friday night
and report a nice time.
Mr. M. G. Dobbins and some of his

Our community is sorrowing over
the death of Mrs. Ora Hubbard Gil
strap which occurred at her home
here Sunday evening, after a week -3
illness from measles and pneumonia.
Her death came as a shock, very few'
realizing the seriousness of her con
dition, so brief had been her illness.
The grief stricken family have the sin
cere sympathy of all in their bereave
ment.
Mr. Roy Jones was at home from
Acw'orth Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Augustan Hubbard, of
Atlanta, and Mr. John Hubbard, of
Columbus, were called here upon the
illness of their sister, Mrs. Gilstrap.
