Aliss Dicksie Bradley, of Folsom,
spent the week-end with Aliss Mary
Lou Kennedy.
Mrs. J. T. Parker spent several days
of the past week in Birmingham where
she attended the wedding of her
brother.
Mrs. J. H. Corbin and children, of
Cartersville, are the guests of her
mother, Airs. W. AI. Trippe.
The Young Ladies Sewing club was
intertained by Aliss Mozelle Rhodes
on Thursday afternoon. The guests
were received on the porch which was
attractively decorated. Punch was
served and after a pleasant hour with
sewing, delicious cream and cake were
served.
Airs. Claude Jolly and little son,
Jack, of Rockmart, spent the week-enc!
with her brother, Air. Spain Edwards.
Dr. and Airs. Parker and children
motored to Cartersville last Friday to
attend the funeral of the infant daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Howard.
Taylorsville was visited by two fires
the past week. Mr. Henry Jolly lost
his household goods when his resi
dence owned by Air. R. B. Hitchcock
was burned last Friday morning about
two o’clock, and on Monday night the
barn of Mr. J. H. Davis was burned.
He lost everything including seven
mules.
.Mrs. W. L. Landrum has returned
home after a visit to relatives in Rome.
Mr. Pat McKelvey spent Friday in
Cartersville.
Aliss Annie Davis is visiting her
grand-mother, Airs. Alary Davis, in
Cedartown.
Aliss Iva Dorsey was hostess to the
young people on Friday evening. Pro
gressive ‘•42’’ was played; Aliss Alary
Hitchcock winning the prize, a book.
At a late hour cream and cake were
served.

of this community are “tickled to
death” over the new mail route.
Mrs. J. Anderson is spending awhile
with her daughter, Airs. Eugene Yar
brough, of Kingston, who is very ill.
Several from this place attended the
singing at Crows Springs and also
Atco Sunday and report good singing
at both places.
Air. Milner Adams, of Atlanta, Is
with homefolks for awhile.
Alisses Julia and Sallie Griffin vis
ited their aunt and uncle, Air. and
Airs. Victor Gaddis, of Tilton, Ga., re
cently.
Mr. and Airs. Chas. Harris and
daughters, Alisses Onie and Grace,
went to Cartersville Tuesday.
Air, Clarence Aloore was a caller at
Pettit Saturday.
Aliss Lydia Adams attended the Nor
mal school at Euharlee.
Air. Tom Genies, of Cartersville,
called on Air. Chas. Harris Alonday.
There will be an all day singing at
this place the second Sunday in June.
Several noted singers are expected.
Everybody is cordially invited. We
