THE BARTOW TRIBUNE. SEPTEMBER 14, 1916.
AMEN AND HALLELUJAH.
(Continued from page one.)
it was ascertained by nine o’clock at
The Tribune office that Mr. Tarver
had certainly carried the district and
his friends became jubilant over the
successful issue of an active and vig
orous campaign. They were .particular- j
ly pleased over the result in Bartow I
county which had always claimed to j
be not over two or three hundred for j
•ledge Fite. Holding it down to this I
was regarded by them as asettranee
that .Mr. Tarver would be elected and
this proved to be true. As soon as this |
fact became known and tljat the gov- j
ernorship was determined to be a land- !
slide for .Mr. Dorsey, everybody went
home determined that they would be
gin the next day th>iniking about some- j
thing else and glad that the contest
was finished.
A tabulated re]>ort of the result in
Bartow county will be published next
, week.
