Miss Frances Wilson, of White,
spent the week-end with Miss Lilah
Gilbert.
Miss Sammiie D. Pittard, of Lisbon,
Ga., is the guest of Mrs. W. D. Pittard.
Mr. G. H. Headden is in Chattanooga
this week attending the I. O. O. F. con
vention.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Kinnebrew and
chilrden have returned to Rome after
a visit to relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Pittard left Tues
day for Atlanta where they will re
side in the future. Quite a numl>er of
informal parties were given in their
honor before they left. Miss Delle
Head'den was hostess at a supper party
in their honor on last Thursday night.
Others entertaining were Mesdames
Paul Crawford, B. C. Sloan, M. O.
Crawford and W. D. Pittard,
Miss Mary Walker was hostess, to
the Ladies Embroidery Club on last
Thursday afternoon. The prize for the
contest was won by Miss Corinne
Crawford. Misses Emily Daves and
Finchie Vemer served punch. Mrs.
Walker assisted in entertaining the
guests. Quite a number of ladies were
present. An ice course was served.
Mrs. Berta Layton and Mrs. B. C.
Sloan were visitors to Atlanta last
week.
Mrs. Orie Best, of Rome, is visiting
her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Battle.
Miss Gertie Chunn has returned
from a delightful motor trip to Albany.

Rev. Shelton filled his regular ap
pointment at Rowland Spring’s last
Sunday. Mr. Shelton, of White, and
Mrs. Stevens, of Adairsville, Rev.
Shelton’s brother and sister, also at
tended preaching at this place Sunday.
We are glad to report that the infant
son of Mr. and. Mrs. Cas Smith is im
proving.
We are sorry to report the little
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley on
the sick list.
The singing given, at the home of
Mr. T. A. Brown Sunday afternoon was
greatly enjoyed.
Mrs. T. Ferguson was the guest of
her son near Cartersville last Satur
day.
Remember the prayer meeting at
Rowland Springs every Sunday night.
Miss Cfrace Pinion, of Cartersville,
is the guest of Mrs. Frank Wilson this
week.
