WINNERS OF PRIZES
IN WOMIN’S BUILDING
The Woman’s building at the fair
this year occupied first rank among
the exhibits. A larger amount of hand
work was exhibited than at any prev
ious fair the entire exhibit of the
woman’s building was excellent.
The exhibits of the Canning Olubs
and the Rural Schools are always of
interest and this year showed progress
to the smallest detail
Special mention is made of the blue
ribbons won by Mrs. W. A. Brown for
her excellent display of culinary pro
ducts. Besides the blue ribbons for
the best general display of canned
fruit, preserves, pickles, breads and
cakes she was awarded fourteen other
special blue ribbons, a most unusaui
honor.
The success of the woman's depart
ment of the fair is due largely to the
painstaking efforts of Miss Jessie Bur
ton as superintendent. Her ability and
interest both are large factors in the
work and much praise has been given
her service.
