and Mr. D. P. Woodroof as cicerone.
It is needless to say that there was an

that tbe occasion was lacking in any
essential prerequisite to thorough and
genuine enjoyment. Messrs. Jackson

their camera on the ground and em

of which are quite good. The Senior
group is especially so, and duplicates
have been in lively demand this week.
The party returned about sundown,
thoroughly satisfied with the day’s

The Sick.
Mrs. A. D. Freeman, who was strick
en with paralysis several weeks ago,
has so far recovered as to be able to
walk about the house.
Mr. J. I. Alexander has a very sick
child. A little child of Mr. S. J. Ar
nold is also quite ill.
Miss Julia Lowe has been prostrated
for several days with a severe illness,
but we are glad to know is somewhat
better at this writing.
Dr. J. D. Brown, who has been con
fined at home for several months past
from the effects of a paralytic stroke,
has recently grown much worse, and
his condition is now such that but lit
tle hope is entertained of bis recovery.
He cannot take nourishment of any
kind, and is growing weaker every
day.
Hon. L. R. Ray was called to At
lanta last Tuesday to see bis sister,
Mrs. Dr. Weilborne, who was recent
ly stricken with paralysis, and who is
now lying in a critical condition.
Mrs. T. J. Swint has been quite sick
for several days.
The latest information received in
dicates no improvement in the condi
tion of Mrs. R. W. Andrews, who is
yet in Rome, and we are pained to
know that grave doubts are entertain
ed of her recovery. The sorrowing so
licitude of the family evokes the deep
est sympathy of their Newnan friend*.
We hope yet to hear of a favorable
change in tbe condition of the afflicted
lady.
