By authority of an Act of the (fen-

t>L:e city authorities were empowered to

and equip the necessary school-houses
for a system of public schools,” etc.
By virtue of this authority, an election
wis. held in April last to determine the
question of issuing bonds for the pur

of bonds. Subsequently an ordinance
was passed by the City Council author
izing the issuance of bonds to the
amount of $10,000, and August 2Sth was
designated as the time for receiving
and considering bids for the same. The

A Remarkable Showing For B. B
Against Other Remedies
Putnam Co., April 20,1$87.
I have beer, suffering for most thirty
years with an itching and burning all
over my face and body. I took eigh
teen bottles of one blood medicine and
it did me no good. I commenced last
January to use B. B. B., and after us
ing five* bottles I felt better and stout
er than I have in thirty years; my
health is better and I weigh more than
I ever did. The itching is nearly ceas
ed, and I am confident that a few more
bottles of B. B. B. will cure me entire
ly. I am sixty-two years old and cai
now do a good day’s work in my field.
I consider it the best medicine I have
e«rer spen, for it certainly did me more
good than all the medicine I have ever
taken. I had, in all, nearly a hundred
risings on mv face, neck and body.
