The "Favorite Proscrip tion" has proven u great boon to expectant mothers by preparing the system fur the coming of baby, thereby rendering child birth safe, easy, and almost painless. Bear in tr.lnd, please, that I:r. Pierce's Favorite Prescription is not a secret or patent medicine, against which the most intelligent people are quite naturally averse, because of the uncertainty as to their composition and harmless character, but is a MEDICINE OF KNOWN COMPOSI TION, a full list of all its ingredients being printed, in plain English, on every bottle- wrapper. An examination of this list of ingredients will disclose, the fact that it is non-alcoholic, in its composition, chemic ally pure, triple-refined glycerine taking the place of the commonly used alcohol, in its make-up. In this connection it may not be out of place to state that the "Favorite Prescription" of Dr. Pierce is the only medicine put up for the cure of woman’s peculiar weaknesses and ail ments, and sold through druggists, all the ingredients of which have the un animous endorsement of nil the leading medical writers and teachers of all the several schools of practice, and that too us remedies for the ailments for which "Favorite Prescription ” is recommended. A little book of these endorsements will be sent to any address, post-paid, and absolutely free if you request same by postal card.' or letter, of Dr. It. V. Pierce, Road. Ln Grange Graphic. The Graphic wants to go on record as being opposed to any movement that will take the convicts from the roads that are most traversed in the county, and where the most benefit would accrue to both the tarmer and merchant, and place them on the high way from the Coweta line to West Point for the benefit of a few owners of automobiles who want to help ad vertise Atlanta by having good auto mobile roads out from that city over the State. The plan as first outlined by the commissioners of Troup—that of working all the roads leading from the court-house a distance of five miles first, and then taking up the others— we think is about as good as they could have devised, as in this way all of the roads worked will be those that the farmer travels, and he, and not the au- tomobilist, is the man that is most in need of good roads. We feel sure that the County Com missioners realize that good roads are more needed elsewhere in the county, and that greater benefit will be de rived by the farmers if these roads are worked, than if this automobile high way is built from the Coweta line to W'est Point. This movement, anyway, is only the pet fancy of two of Atlan ta’s papers to help advertise them selves and Atlanta. While we have no objection to this automobile road, we think the public is entitled to good roads over the county first. Buffalo. N. V. Dr. Pierce’s Pleasant Pellets cure con stipation. The angel of death has once more visited our school and claimed for its reward our beloved brother, teacher and co-worker, N. O. Banks On Sat urday, May 22, 1909, while in the vigor of life and in the diligent prosecution of business affairs, a multitude of which had been heaped upon him, si lently and suddenly the messenger of death arrested his busy life. The Mas ter, through His messenger, said, "Enough; come with me; take thy rest, for I have prepared a place for those who come through great tribula tion, toils, cares and labors.” And as the sun sank on that beautiful after noon behind the western horizon and left the world in darkness, the spirit of our beloved brother and friend entered the portals of eternal life, where dark ness is unknown, but where the bright ness of the presence of our God will shine through the countless ages of eternity. Therefore, we, the Grant- vine Sunday-school, fee! deeply the loss of such a valuable member. We feel that the Sunday-school, the church, the town and the community at large have sustained a loss. Resolved, That we extend to the be reaved family our heartfelt sympathy, and point them to the Father that doeth all things well. Resolved, That a copy of these reso lutions be furnished the family and to each of our county papers for publica tion. and that the same be entered on the minutes of the Sunday-school. Respectfully submitted, F. T. Meacham, S. E. Leigh, E. Seweli, Committee. Peanuts and Sleep. Good Health Clinic. Recently a friend who had heard that I sometimes suffer from insomnia told me of a sure cure. “Eat a pint of pea nuts and drink two or three glasses of milk before going to bed,’’ said he, “and I’ll warrant you’ll be asleep with in half an hour.’’ I did as he suggest ed, arid now for the benefit of others who may be afflicted with insomnia 1 feel it to be my duty to report what happened, so l'ar as I am able to recall the details. First, let me say my friend was right. I did go to sleep very soon after m.v retirement. Then a friend with his head under his arm came along and asked me if I wanted to buy his feet. I was negotiating with him when the dragon on which I was riding slipped out of his skin and left me floating in mid-air. While I was considering how I should get down, a bull with two heads peered over the edge of the wall and said he would haul me up if I would first climb up and rig a windlass for him. So, as I was sliding down the mountain side the bralteman came in, and I asked him when the train would reach my station. “We passed your station 400 years ago,” he said calmly, folding the train up and slipping it into his vest pocket. At this juncture the clown bounded into the ring and pulled the center-pole out of the ground, lift ing the tent and all the people in it up, while I stood on the earth below watch ing myself go out of sight among the clouds above. Then I woke, and found I had been asleep almost ten minutes. “And the day wore on—” began the speaker. “What did it wear?” asked a listen er. The speaker became angry at being interrupted, hut was equal to the occa sion, and replied impatiently: “The close of evening!” Ask lor Allen’s Foot-Ease, A powder for swollen, tired, hot. smarting feet. Life is real, life is earnest, single blessedness a fib; man ttiou art, to man returneth, has not been spoken of the rib. Not. enjoyment and not sor row is our destined end or Way, but aet that each to-morrow finds us nearer matrimonial day. Life is short and youth is fleeting, and our hearts, though light and gay, pleasant drums are beat ing wedding marches all the way. In the world’s broad field of battle, in the bivouac of life, be not like dumb driv en cattle: he a heroine—a wife. Trust no future, howe’er pleasant—let the dead past bury its dead. Act, act, in the living present, heart within and hope o’erhead ! Lives of married folks remind us wo can live our lives as well, and, departing, leave hehi- d us lots of kids to shout and yell; such ex amples that, another, wasting time in idle sport, a forlorn unmarried broth er seeing shall take heart and court. Let us then he up and doing, still contriving, still pursuing, and each one a husband get.” U. S. Government to Honor Gray He roes. Washington, June 9.—A monument of marble or granite to cost about $8,- 500 is to be erected by the United States Government in the Confederate section of Finns’ Point National Ceme tery at Salem, N. J.. to mark the rest ing-place of 2,460 officers and men of the Confederate army and navy who died as prisoners of war at Fori Dela ware between 1862 and 1865. ! ids for the monument will be opened June 11 by Co!. W. C. Oates, commissioner for marking the graves of Confederate sol diers. The adoption of a monument for the purpose is due to the fact that it been found impossible, because of im perfect records, to place distinctive headstones at each individual grave, as contemplated by t.he Act of Congress. Commissioner Oates has arranged also to place wrought iron fences around Camp Chase Confederate ceme tery near Columbus, Ohio, and around the Confederate cemetery at North Al ton, Ill. _ Ethel, aged 3, had been to visit her cousins, two fan-loving and romping boys. She had climbed upon her fath er’s knee and was telling him of her visit. “Papa, every night when John arid George Ea.v their prayers they ask God to make them good boys,” said she. “That is nice,” said papa. Then thinking soberly for a few min utes, she said : "God ain’t done it yet.” JUST ONE WORD that word la ^Putt’s, st; refers to Dr. Tutt’s Liver Pills and MEANS HEALTH. Arc you-constipated?
