Mr. and Mrs. E. S Hamilton, who have been spending some time with Mrs. Hamilton’s mother, Mrs. C. L. Brittain, left Saturday for North Car olina, where they will reside in future. The Herald and Advertiser was in rror last week in stating that the llag- raising at the Murray street school was under the auspices of the women of Newnan. Deputy Marshal J. C. Johnson, whose headquarters are at Newnan, brought Virgil G. Pratt and Green Sto ry down from Harris county Wednes day night, and carried them before Judge Brown on the charge of illicit distilling. They were both assessed a bond of $200 for their appearance at the December term of the Unite! States Court: Bond was given in each case and the men allowed to go. —Columbus Enquirer Sun. The State Department, Wednesday afternoon, chartered The People’s Bank, at Carrollton, with a capital stock of $60,000. Its incorporators are among the most prominent and successful bus iness men of that prosperous county. The capital stock of $60,000, which is unusually large for a State b mk, is an evidence of the solid foundation upon which the institution rests. The incor porators are J. R. Adamson, G. C. Cook, M.
