Chairman Stallings Warns Voters
of the County.
To the Democratic Voters of Coweta
county : Your attention is colled to the
fact that the registration books will be
closed on April 5 next. Undor the law
and the rules of the party no one can
vote who is not registered. This means
that if you fail to register on or before
'April 6 you will not tie permitted to
-vote in the county primary on May 7,
or in tho primary election to be held in
August for Governor, State House offi
cers, Congressman and Representatives.
The books, when closed, will, not be
opened again for registration until af
ter the elections named above have
been held. 1 deem it unnecessary to say
that it is the duty of every good citizen
to qualify himself to vote. One chief
qualification is registration. Many good
citizens have not registered. The time
iB very short. Under the law you have
to register in perBori. No one can reg
ister for you. Tho Tax Collector is the
custodian of the registration books.
He has them in his office in the
court-house. They will be open until
April B. Don’t wait until the last day
to register. The Tnx Collector might
not be able to accommodate all who
may want to register on thut day. Reg
ister yourself and call your neighbors’
attention to this important duty which
you owo to yourself, your county and
your State. Register, and register
