After attending her sister, Mrs.
Beck, formerly of Birmingham,

Susie have returned home.
Mrs. K. W. Smith, who had the
misfortune to get her arm broken
several weeks ago, is still suffering
from the wound.
Mrs. W. J. Wei born' and Mrs.
Joe Welliortt, from Alabama, are
here for a few days visiting rela
tives and friends.
Mrs. .1. .1. Hendrix was taken
suddenly ill on last Sunday after
noon, but was resting well when
last heard from.
Mrs. William Bryant visited her
sister, Mrs. Parker, at Carrollton,
last Saturday. She was accom
panied by her daughter, Mrs.
Alonzo <’handler.
Mrs. John ('anon is no better.
Mr. Haskell Smith anti Miss

marriage last Sunday afternoon at
the Methodist church. Bro. King

join a host of other friends in wish
ing them a useful and happy life.

place, went down to West Poiut
the tirst Of the week for a visit to
relatives, and while there Bedding
had a difficulty with a man named
Henry Conner. Bedding stabbed
Conner ID times in the back and
arms.
Bedding claimed Conner was
drinking and insulted his mother
in her own home; and Conner
claimed that Bedding was drunk,
denied insulting his mother, and
denied all the statements made by
i Betiding and his mother.
Although wounded so many
; times Conner will recover. After
the affray Redding escaped, into
, Alabama it is supposed.
