OFFICE UP-STAIRS IN THE WILCOXON BLDG 11 is a significant fact that the < (Mint \ ('omniissioners of Spalding were more favorably impressed with Coweta’s court house than with the court houses in DcKalh, Bartow and Fulton. The court houses in these last named coun ties are generally regarded as models of architectural lieauty and convenience; but all who compare them with Coweta’s court house are forced to admit that our build ing is in every way superior to all of them. Men who have nothing to com mend them to popular favor ex cept the fact that they are adroit, unscrupulous schemers are being I discountenanced even in polities, where trickery has usually played a more prominent part than in ill most any other Held of effort. There is no place in the well or dered economy of a righteous na tion for any but honest men. The professional politician, lioss, or heeler, whose reputation is founded on his ability to execute slick schemes and perform dirty deeds of trickery and deception is a sorry spectacle when stripped of the tin sel of his spurious glory. Imt such a one stand forth on the open Held to do battle with a man of convic tions, courage, honesty of purpose, mental capacity and righteous character- the end is plainly in j view from the lieginning. The 1 trickster can light with his own weapons, but not with the weap ons of an honest lnaii. VICTORY FOR THE COTTON 6K0WER8. Let all members of the Assoeia- tion ami t'riemls of the movement heed the eall and attend the dis trict meetings and the county meeting. As President Brannon states in his eaid to the public, the Cotton Association has already been worth millions of dollars to the South. This is true;aml it is also true that the Association’s usefulness is just lieginning to lie manifested. If persisted in, this movement will grow stronger and the organization more eflicieut each year, until complete success is attained and until Southern fanners are masters of the cotton situation. The great worth of the Associa tion has already been clearly dem onstrated. It remains for its mem bers to perfect the organization and to make it all it ought to lie. Every cotton grower and every friend of Southern farmers ought to bo a member of this Association and a willing worker in its ranks. The Association’s success has al ready been marvellous. Greater victories lie lie fora it. Let Cow eta's farmers and business men rally enmasse and make this one of the strongest anil most efficient divisions in the entire South.
