The year 1905 has lx*cn a pros
perous twelvemonths in Coweta
county. Material and commercial
success has followed the efforts of
our people as a whole.
This has la-eii a splendid year
for business, for making money;
the manufacturer, the merchant,
the farmer, (especially the farmer) j
and laborers of all classes, have
found an abundance of business to
Is- transacted and of work to be
done; and prices for labor and the
products of labor (whether prod
ucts of manufactories or of the j
soil) have ruled high.
This is true in the State and j
Nation; but the News refers,!
primarily, to Coweta county. A
beneficent Providence has smiled j
on this section—a smile that has
kindled the glow of prosperity in I
every valley ami on every hilltop
of Coweta county. As the Christ
mas and New Year holidays dawn
upon us there is good cheer, glad
ness and rejoicing throughout our
county.
The News felicitates the people
of < ’oweta because of the material
prosperity they enjoy; and rejoices
with them in their days of holiday
enjoyment and happiness. And
as the dawn of the Christmas sea
son of 1905 breaks upon the world,
the News extends these greetings
to all the people of (’oweta county:
May your material ami commer
cial prosperity never la* diminish
ed.
May tin* wave of development >
and advancement now sweeping'
the entire county never be stayed. J
May the glow on cheerful hearth -1
stones never fade; the light in
bright eyes never be dimmed by
the resultant tears of untoward
misfortune; tilts laughter on the
lips of little children never be
stilled by the cruel clutch
famine, or pestilence, or war
Our store will be clos-
ed Christmas Day, De-
cember 25th, holiday.
We thank our friends
for their liberal pat-
ronage during 1905,
and wish them all a
joyous Holiday Season
and a year of peace
and plenty in 1906.
