McKoy, died several years ago. Three
sisters are left—Mrs. Elizabeth Arnall,
Mrs. Tallulah Mobley and Miaa Nora

to the grieving relative* in this latest
bereavement
Miss Nora Page went to Atlanta a
few days ago to have her eyes treated
by an oculist
Mr. H. 8. Rees, jr., and family, of
Eaat Point* visited relatives here lost
week.
Rev. Mr. Sorrells, former pastor of
the Methodist church here, preached
to our people on Sunday last, and gave
them a fine sermon. Rev. Mr. Dempsey,
another former pastor, was with us last
week also, coming to officiate at the
funeral of Miss Iula Page. His wife
is a daughter of the late Rev. J. B-
Hunnieutt, and neice of Miss Page.
We received last week an interesting
letter from our nephew, Rev. Albert W.
Reese, of Cordele. He is a Methodist
minister, and at present is presiding
cider of the Cordele district.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Walker have the
sympathy of many friends in the loss
of their first born, whose death occurred
last week.,
Come out to the Baptist church next
Sunday and hear the new pastor.

Mrs. J. A. Johnson and daughter, of
Ciirroliton, are on a visit to Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. McKoy.
Mr. C. T. Witcher has had a telephone
installed in his home.
The county convict* were moved into
our community today, and we hope soon
to have better roads to travel over. They
are located just south of Mr. R. C.
Crain’s residence.
Misses Sallie and Grace Bridges, of
Sargent, attended Sunday-school here
Sunday.
Mr. Andy Haynes and Miss Lula Mil
lions, of Newnan, wert quitely married
at the home of Dr. F. L. Hardy on Sat
urday night last They have the best
wishes of many friends in this section.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sumner and Mr.
and Mrs. W. Y. Sumner and children
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. L. W.
Bowers, jr., at White Oak.

Ala., is visiting her daughter, Mrs.
Moore. The latter will accompuny her
mother home for a visit.
Mrs. Register, of Wayeross, is the
guest of her daughter, Mrs. V. W. Chum

Mayor T. M. Zellars spent Friduy in
Atlanta.
Miss Lucilo Sewell, of Atlanta, was
the week-end guest of he parents, Mr.
ami Mrs. Emmett Sewell.
Mr. W. N. Banks is in New York on
a business trip.
Col. and Mrs. R. O. Jones, of Newnan,
were the guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs.
W. G. Sadler.
The many friends of Misses Mnrie
and Marguerite Sewell sympathize with
them in the death of their father, Mr.
Wilbur Sewell, which occurred Thursday
afternoon nt the Nall House.

Mr. Slaughter Lambert spent the
week-end with relatives here.

Turin, to which place she was called
several days ago by the death of an
aunt.
