The remains of the infant daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. D. (J; Dunbar were
brought from Atlanta Monday afternoon
and carried to the home of her grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dunbar,
and. after a brief service, conducted by
Rev.. J. E. Hannah, the little body was
interred at Oak Hill cemetery.

According to figures furnished by

the contention of ginning statistics,
6,740 bales of cotton had boon ginned
in Coweta county up to ■ Nov. 1. Tills
compares with 12,850 bales ginned up
to the same date last year. Not all of
the cotton reported this season. was
raised in Cowota, however, many bales
having boon brought to the ginneries
here and lit other ginning points in the
count)’ from Meriwether, Heard, Fay-
otto and Campbell, in view of this fact'

Conference were road out Monday night
at Augusta, ami brought a sharp sur

dist church- here. Dr. Rombert G. Smith,
the able and popular pastor of this con
gregation, was sent to LaGrange and
Rev. J. G. Logan appointed in his.place.'
Rev. Mr. Logan served the church at
Elberton the past year. Rev*. Felton
Williams, who goes to Toccoa, is suc
ceeded as ptfBtor of the Grantvillo and
Lone Oak charge by Bov. Olin King.

the Sarah Hall Missionary Society will

When the city schools recess next Wed-
litr. W. J. Glover, living near town,
had four fine mules and- a horse shot
Saturday night. The stock broke out of
the lot Saturday night, and were found
next day in a serious condition from
wounds, evidently inflicted by a small
rifle. None of the animals are able to
work, and Mr. Glover doubted whether
he would be able to save the life of
either of the animals.—Franklin News

pulpit at the First . Methodist church
for the last time next Sunday, and we
do not need to add that he will tie greet
ed by large congregations. By the way,
Dr. Smith speaks in high praise of Rev.
J. G. Logan, who succeeds him as pas
tor of the Newnan church. Dr. Smith
says he is one of the strongest men in
the North Georgia Canference, having
just completed a four-years’ pastorate
at Elberton, where he is greatly beloved.
He will reach Newnan with hie famjly
next week.

and stay out until Monday.'

the Lord on this day, if you have any
thing to be thankful for.
