in the county of Fulton, one John Cam
pbell did, without provocation what
ever, commit the offense of assault with
Intent to rnuidvr, upon the person of F.
M. Smith by shooting «t him six times,
two of the shot* takingeffect und inflict
ing serious wounds on the body of
said Smith 1 and
Whereas, Notwithstanding tbe
efforts of tlie civil officers of Fulton
county to arrest said Campbell, lie
lias succeeded in making his escape,
and is now at large; and it being
fuither reported that lie, the said
Campbell, is a desperate character,
and generally bidding defiance to the
law;
Now, therefore, 1 have thought
proper to issue this, my proclamation,
hereby offering a reward of FIV.’l
HUNDRED DOLLARS for the appre

in the night time, and Alfred Walker,
of voluntary manslaughter, have es
caped from the common jail of Decatur
county, where they have been confined
awaiting their removal to the Peniten
tiary;
Now, therefore, I have thought proper
to issue this, my Proclamation, hereby
offering a reward of FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS each for the apprehension
mid delivery of the said Warren Har
roll and Alfred Walker to the Principal
Keeper of the Penitentiary.

the Superior Court of Ctierokee county
a Bill of Indictment, charging James
B. Cloud, Win. Cloud and George P.
McCnsw, alias LaFayette McCraw.witli
the ctinie of murder, alleged to have
been committed upon the body of Jnny
Garrison in said county of Cherokee;
and
Whereas, The said James B Cloud,
Wm. Cloud and Geo. P. McCraw, alias
LaFayette McCraw, have b- cn arrested
and confined under said charge, and
subsequently made their escape from
jail hy breaking therefrom, and are now
ut large greatly to the danger of the
peace and good order of the community.
