We are pleaeed to learn that our
fellow townsman, Mr. Asberry, is
improving after being confined to
his room for over a week. We hope
soon to see hia cheerful face at his
wonted place of business
It is surprising what a “wee bit
of a thing” can accomplish. Cick
headache, constipation, dysp&psia,
sour stomach, dizziness, are quick¬
ly banished by DeWitts Little Ear¬
ly Risers. Small pill. Safe pill.
Rest pill. W. R. Smith & Co
They are so small that the most
sensitive persons take them, they
are so effective that the most obsti¬
nate cases of constipation, head¬
ache, and torpid liver yield to them.
That is why DeWitt’a Little Early
lasers are known as the famous
little pills, W. It. Smith & Co.
Mr. Willie Grubbs is now on the

glad to welcome him to our city,
and wish for him success in <ji> la

Miss Kate' Goodman passed
through, en route to Macon last
Friday afternoon. She will proba¬
bly visit Miss Fiorrie Smith a
short while before returning to her
home in Tifton. She has many
friends hero who will be glad to see
her.
We learn with much pride that
Sycamore is speedily to have a
new residents erected on cne of her
principal strevts. That is good.
May our town emtinue to thrive,
and health and prosperity attend
us!
Quite a jolly little party went in
quest of the modest violet Saturday
afternoon. The day was of unusual
fairness and each one succeeded in
capturing a goodly number of the
dear little blossoms which jj?ow so
profusely in, our land of pines and
wiro grass.
We ere g’ad to report that all of
our sick ones are betLr this week.
Just now there is very little sick¬
ness among us—Sycamore has a
record to be proud oi anyway—for
she has had but little serious sick
ness and not a single death in over
two years.
Several of our teachers are plan
ning to attend the teachers* Insti¬
tute in Fitzgerald on Saturday of
next week. What a pity it is that
.ve have such an inconvenient way
of reaching that interesting city !
No great distance, but such a
round-a-bovt route, and so much
time lost, that might bo saved if
tho trains made good connection.

The pupils of the music class
have begun the arrangement for
tneir next monthly recital It will
be held in the Institute. All are
invited,. The date and program will
probably appear next week.
The past week baa been, from a
social standpoint, particularly
quiet. Sunday morning there was
a fine turnout to sabbath school,
but the rain storm in the afternoon
and night interfered with our pray¬
er meeting plans; and the prot,r»o
ted inelamency of the weather
through out the week has had a
rather decided tendency to dampen
the ardor of our fnn-lovere, and
turn their attention to umbrella 8
and rubber overshoes for a change.
