The Ocmulgee Chautauqua
which begins at Hawkinsville on
tho"29fh ibst, Continuing to May
i8th., will without doubt be the
greatest entertainment ever held
in 'Georgia. spared
President N. E. Ware has
neither labor nor money in his en
deavor to make the Cnautauqua a
success. He expresses himself as
satisfied beyond expectation at hi.-
program, and says that tor the en¬
tire period he has as able a cqteiie
of lecturers and readers as were
ever placed before the America.’
public at apy Chautauqua gath •
eriog. Tfie’buildings will all be
in perfect shape for the opening
day, and therefore there will be no
drawback on that account. Du¬
ring the session of the Chautauqua
the County Commissimers and
boards of Education of the Coun •
ties in the State will assemble
here. That event Will' take place
on May 3rd, and it is not saying
too.much to state that every
County Commissioner and mem •
ber of a board of Education should
be here. The exercises during the
. •whole period will be especially in¬
structive to teijchers, as trie teach-
erjs Institute will Convene May 3rd

and favorably known to require
more than mere mention of his
name to gather a great throng to
listen to his famous lecture. &>
you must come that day to be in
the swim. Other attractions will
be Mrs. Leavitte, said to be the
greatest banjoist now before the
public. It will be a treat to hear
her. It has cost the management
a great deal to secure her. Miss.
Drummond,the taniu peanist
