A Card.
| To our fellow-laborers for reform:
Let every citizen compare the
conservative, brief, clear, and cer
tain declarations of the People’s
Party platform with the lengthy
nothingness of the platforms of
both the Republican and Demo
cratic parties, and if he be not
joined to his idols, he will cast
his fortunes with the only party
brave enough to say to the people
just what it means and true
enough to the principles of equal
justice to every section and to all
men to name as standard bearers
on the national ticket a Western
and a Southern General.
Fellow-citizens, our state plat
form will embody the same bioad,
clear and conservative principles,
and every home of our county
from the log cabin to the man
sion should furnish recruits to
carry them to victory in Novem
ber.
To voice and represent those
principles in the Lower House of
the next General Assembly, we
want and must have a man wholly
in accord with them whose deeds
will be earnest and whose words
will be true; views broad enough
to demand for one section or
county of our state what he would
grant to another; liberal enough
to grant to all men their rights
before the law, and firm enough
in the right to demand equal and
exact justice to all.
We point you to these as the
true principles of democracy and
name as the man to represent
them, one who is a farmer in all
that the name carries, whoße ev
ery interest is closely identified
with labor, Capt. James T. Buttle
of West Armuehee.

A Quarter Off
This is the) resemblance between
cheap and charity. They both
cover a multitude of sin. This
doesn’t frighten us. We have
taken exactly 25 per cent off the
the price of our SPUING find
SUMMER suits. They were a
good purchase before that reduc
tion and wo need not tell you how
much better a purchase they are
now. If this like charity covers
any sin, it isn’t any sin that the
buyer sutlers for, it’s the sin of
letting things go at a big sacrifice.
There are sins of omission as well
as commission. Don’t commit the
sin of omitting to take advantage
of this big chance.
