Wo are sorry to record the death of
Miss Deleanor Devton, of Shoal Creek, j
She had been confined to her bet! about *
live months, during which time she suf-!
fered immensely. Miss Deyton was aj
young lady of excellent qualities, and j
loved by all who knew her. She was
horn April 18Gl, and departed tMs life
August 2nd 1881. She had never join¬
ed any branch of tho church; but dar¬
ing her sickness made a profession of
Christianity, and expressed a willing
ness to bid adieu to earth and earthly
things. She was interred at tho Clave*
land cemetery, ac 4 o'clock on 3d last.
Deloanor will bo much missed by
her associates, and especially by her
mother, brothers and sisters,* but as
God in his providence has seen tit to
remove her from earth, may the loss
to her friend3 bo her eternal gain. Wo
deeply sympathize with the sorrow¬
ing relativos and friends.
A difficult question;—Squire s daugh
ter—“What is this we hoar about your
father aud mother quarreling so, Peggy?’
Peggy—Uiey’vo both had a little money
left ’em, miss, and I think father he
wan*8 the lot. Anyways, they can’t
agree nohow whetherhor money ishis'n,
or his hern, or hia’n and hm hern.’
No ono man ever amassed millions in
one short lifetime hoaestiy justly.
Huge fortunes that arc made in a short
time aro generally obtained by control¬
ling a power to enact laws and privfe
leges that crown men cf lees ability and
courage but more honor into the mire.

Habitual Constlvcncss.

woman. From it usually arises those
orders that so surely undermine their
health and strengt.li. Every woman
owes it to herself and to her family
to use that celebrated medicine, Kid
ney-Wort. ft is the sure remedy for
constipation and for all disorders of the
kidneys and liver. Trv it in liquid or
