crimes committed in that section. Tbo

one of those men that need no rest and
enjoy few tilings keenly, hut all things
mildly. There are few men about
whom so few anecdotes ha ye been told,
fie never provoked mirth, ooiug always
a solid and soiem reality to both ene¬
mies and friends.

Fatal Accident. ,
Athens Chronicle.
On Sunday night last as Mr. Wm.
McKea a farmer living a few miles from
Watkirisvillo was returning borne from
Church a fatal runaway occurred. He
was accompanied by Ins wife and two
daughters, The mule became frighten¬
ed and threw them all from the buggy
and all were more or less injured. Mr.
.McRoa died from the effects of bis in¬
juries on Monday night. The ladies wo
learn are not seriously hurt.—Mr. Mc

ed by all and his sad dtrain cast a gloom
over the community.
