Situate on Fruit Crop Promising at
Present, Bot Crlllcal-Tlme Has Not
Yet Been Passed.
The fruit crop of Georgia ia in good
shape, according to the best authorities
on the question, and prospects just now
are for a good crop. The peach crop
means millions to Georgia and the out
come during the next month will tell
the tale as just how much money
the Klberta and kindred varieties will
bring into Georgia.
The trees around Milledgeville are in
exceptionally good shape and indications
point to a full crop here if there are no
mishaps in the near future. In addition
t) the market value of the peach crop
it has a value beyond computation when
it comes to home use.
The Georgia Fruit Growers Exchange
has about completed the formulation of
plans for handling tne crop and through
the system of distribution which has
been devised it is quite probable that a
greatly increased revenue will be de
rived from the crop this year.
