very groat and if the moon were one-
teith lurger than it is it would be com
pletely covered, though the obliteration
will not make it completely dark, the
appearance being that of sunset glow,
but much softer ami almost invisible
The first appearance of the moon as
it rises will be almost natural and then
the dark shadows will gradually steal
over it until it is hid from view as an
orb of light.

stated Monday night that he happened
