Next Sunday morning the serviees at Miss Stella Nisbet entertained Tucs day evening in honor of her guest, Miss I Sarah Taylor, of Macon. Delightful re-1 freshments were served and the oc casion was made enjoyable in various ways. Those present were Misses Sarah Taylor, Leila Lamar, Venie Mont gomery, Nellie Hicks, Mary Wood, of Fairburn; Henrietta Conn, Pauline Nisbet, Margaret Russell and Messrs. Marion Allen, Elbert Bivins, Geo. Rich ard, dames Sibley, Culver Kidd, Guy McKinley, Eph Harris, and Jack Ed wards. Farewell Entertainment. > Miss Boswell complimented Miss Josephine Marshall with a farewell par- I tv at Mrs. Dozier’s last night and a very delightful evening was spent. Both I Miss Marshall and Miss Boswell leave on their vacation this afternoon. The I guests of the occasion included the ladi es of the house, Misses Annie Brewer, Rowena West, Sarah Gilman. Elizabeth Falls, and Annie McCullough. The gentlemen invited were Messrs. Sidney Jones, Andrew Edwards, John Conn, Kob Robson, J. C. Cooper, Dr. Willets and Rev. Lamar Simms. Mrs. Iluzler Enlnrlalns the Presbyterian clfureh will have a peculiar interest. A part of the services will be devoted to the children, when the pastor will deliver a sermonotte to the little people on some interesting theme. Other parts of services will be of interest to parents. All children are invited to theservicos, and will be accorded a warm welcome and a front seat. It is expected that these brief ser- monettes will be a feature of the morn ing services for several Sundays. Mr, and Mrs. J. O. Wall, of Eatonton, have returned home after a week’s visit here. Mr. Millard Stembridge. a young graduate of the G. M, College has ac cepted a position with the Whitfield Grocery Co. Mr. H. H. Tanner, of MaCon spent Sunday here with his parents Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Tanner. Mrs. O. F. Oxford, of Valdoita was the guest of Mrs. M. V. Tanner during the commencement of the schools here. Dozier and Mrs. Frank Willingham to the ladies of the house The gentlemen invited to be present were Messrs. John Conn, An* drew Edwards. J. C. Cooper, Rob Rob son, Prof. J. M. Walker and Rev. La- I mar Simms. The ladies were kept in igorancc of the alfair until the lest moment and then advised to get ready for a Bur- prise. At ten o'clock they were usher ed into the dining hall where an elegant line of refreshments were served. The center decoration was a large mirror background with miniature ships sailing ucrossfrom which ropes were suspended leading to each lady's place. The eve ning was a pleasant one in every way. Miss Anna Hall, has returned to her home in this city after spending several days in Eatonton. During the entire commencement period at the Georgia Military college and the Georgia Normal and Industrial college the people of this city have been kept very busy entertaining visitors. Lack of space and the inability to keep the pace has prevented The Milledge- ville News from giving extensive men tion of many of these delightful event3, but those participating in them will be sure to remember them fondly for many, many moons. Mias Alma Johnson, of Macon, is vis iting her sister Mrs. Frank Finney this week. Miss Genia Claire Barnes, left Wed nesday to visit the family of Dr. Chap pell in Rome. Miss Bessie Butler of Madison attend ed the commencement exercises of the G. N. & I. college this week. Miss Mildred Greene of Eatonton, is visiting Miss Ladyc Greene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Greene. Miss Jetta Womack, of Blakely, who was the charming guests of Mrs. E. U, Hines during commencement, returned home Wednesday. Prof. J. M. Walker, of the G. M. C., left for his home in North Carolina Wednesday. Last Wednesday a large crowd of voung folk, chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Richter, went on a fishing and pic nic excursion to Crawford’s pond and enjoyed the day immensely. MiSS MARY VIVIAN WINS RUED MEDAL, LADIES BDWI. Schell is preparing to buikl an elegant home on the hill and work has already commenced on construct ion. Miss Sarah Taylor of Macon, who has been the guest of Miss Stella Nisbet, has returned home accompanied by her hostess who will spend a few days in the Central city. Friends and relatives here of Mr. W T. Tollison will regret to learm of his death which occurred in Mobile, Ala. a few days ago. Mr. Tollison was well known here and had numerous friends throughout this section. Misses Annie And Rosie Cook returned from Machen Monday where they at tended the Cook-Ramey wedding. Mr. Howard Dunham, Editor of The Tennille Tribune is expected to visit the city Sunday.
