licks-Holmes Wedding.
A wedding of much interest here was
that of Miss Elizabeth Patterson Hicks,
of this city, to Mr. John Austin Holmes,
LaGrange, the wedding taking place
last Saturday morning at the parsonage
of the Mulberry street Methodist church
in Macon, Kev. T. D. Ell's officiating.
Mrs. Holmes enjoyed the distenction
of being very popular here and Mr.
Holmes is known as an enterprising
young man in his home town. Only a
tew intimate friends of the family were
present at the wedding. The young
couple have the best wishes of numer
ous friends and they will make their
home in LaGrange.
Hogan-Heloe Wedding.
Miss Laura F. Heine, of New York,
and Mr. James. P. Hogan, Jr. of this
city, were united in marriage lastTues-
d&y, Sept. 28, the Rev. Father Richard
Hamiten performing the ceremony.
Mr. Hogan is well known here and the
future home of the couple will be in
Milledgeville.
