the Maccabees of the world has been
organized and approximately 50 mem
bers have joined the organization,
including many businees and profes
sional men. State Commander A. C.
Hamrick, has been in the city for some
time and has succeeded in interesting
quite a mumber in the organization.
Mr. R. L, Wall was named past
commander of the organization and
there is quite a long list of active
officers, J. C. McAuliffe being elected
commander, Jerome Babb lieutenant
commander, Walter W. Stembridge
record keeper, W. P. Broach chaplain,
F. W. Hendrickson sergeant, Drs
John P. Atkinson and Guy D. Compton
physicians, C. I. Brown master at
arms, H. E. McAulifTc, first master of
the guard, R. E. Stembridge second
mastei of the guard, J, B. Cox sen
tinel, J. E. Smith picket and G. von
Rentz. E. L Grant and N. B Brooks
trustees.
The meetings nightj at present is on
Wednesday, but permanent arrange
