PRINTING
POINT
Good typewritten letters con
vey an impression of good
business methods, and the machinejs often responsible' for
the appearance.
THE UNDERWOOD
types always reach the proper printing point. The type-
bar operates through—or with—a guide—a feature peculiar
to the Underwood. The type must go right. There’s no
other way. It cannot wobble. Good looking work is as
sured and the Underwood features prevent operator’s blun
ders.
The aimple mechanism which secures perfect work in the Underwood is a mighty in
teresting exhibit of ingenuity and skiM. Why not come look at it? Knowledge of the
Underwood will help you to secure greater efficiency. It will be a pleasure to ,help
you to just as much knowledge of the Underwood Standard Typewriter as YOU choose
to acquire.

Woman’s Friend
Nearly all women suffer at times from female
J ailments. Some women suffer more acutely and
I more constantly than others. But whether you have
I little pain or whether you suffer intensely, you
should take Wine of Cardui and get relief.
Cardui is a safe, natural medicine, for women,
I prepared scientifically from harmless vegetable in-^
gradients, It acts easily on the female organs and®
gives strength and tone to the whole system,
The Woman’s Tonic
I Mrs. Vema Wallace, of Sanger, Tex., tried Cardui. She writes:
“Cardui has done more for me than I can describe. Last spring I
was taken with female inflammation and consulted a doctor, but to
no avail, so I took Cardui, and inside of three days, I was able to do
vxy housework. Since then my trouble has never returned.” Try it I

Results of the week of Prayer:
There was a devotional service each
afternoon. Afterwards talks on each
branch of our work, every one was
given an opportunity to give as God hud
prospered, that we might be able to
help those who are less fortunate to
receive a Christian education. The to
tal was $9.50 during the week, the Sun
day morning collection $8.20, one indi
vidual $5, making $22.80.
BOXES SENT.
Two boxes were sent to the orphans
home, one from the society, valued at
$25.70, one trom and individual, sending
the wardrobe of her dear precious boy
whom God had taken because He has
need of such This was a very valuable
box, because his new school clothes for
the fall and winter had just been up.
The result of the little Brigaders will
be given later. '
While the attendance was not what
we hoped and prayed for, we are not
discouraged |but are expecting great
things.
WHAT IS IN OUR OCT. HOMES?
A short sketch of Sue Bennett Me
morial, also some sketches and facts
that will be very intereting. We are
not doing a grander work anywhere.
I give this as an example, one of the
most efficient workers in Tennessee is
a mountaineer,commonly called "Moun
tain White,” who was converted at the
age of twenty five-in a log cabin. He
was very ignorant and had been no
toriously wicked, soon after he was con
verted he said, “1 wapt to pet nn edu
cation so I can teach the true word of
God.” He worked for the education
withjenurageous faith and his teachin :of
GoJ is being wonderfully blessed.
NEWS FROM OUR WORK.
Seme charges have been made in the
the faculty at Brevard Institute, we be
lieve this new teaching force will. prove
itself very efficient. They have had
extensive preparation and experience,
as much attention was paid to their re
ligious influence and work as tp tllfir
professional training and value, because |
this is a powerful moans of preaching j
practical Christianity. .
Our work on the P-oific coast promises
a fruitage which only God will be able '
to measure. Those who have come in 1
touch with our work and have returned ^
to their homes have taken up mission
work in connection with their business, j
Sunday School work has been opened j
among the children in the Japanese
colony in a suberb of Oakland, a day ,
nursery is being planned for the child- J
ren ofijapenes women who work in
American families. The young men j
want us to open a night school at Oak-i
land.
The writ in'New Orleans is being!
carefully directed, many are being
shown by our Wesly houses how to
model their own homes. Here too wo |
have sewing classes and they are in
structed in house work.
With these facts of the work we hope
every woman in Southern Methodism The Milledgeville News has carried
