Eggs a ,d Poultry.
I R Is predicted from time to time
that the limit for prices on eggs and
poultry would soon be reached. Tilt
demand, however, continues to exceed
the supply, and each season's prices
surpajit those of the preceding year.
The consul',.ptIon of poultry and
eggs Is probably double that of twenty
years ago. The public Is growing
more discriminating, however, and
now demand the very best eggs and
poultry. No half starved fowls nor
filthy eggs are wanted, while first,
class stock Is In great demand and
at profitable prices.
The day of the mongrel has passeo

benefit of high prices must keep pure

victs, and the necessity of erecting
quarters for their occupancy.
The commission has this year levied
a tax of 12 1-2 mills upon each dollar
of property valuation for the support
of the County. This levy is increased
over the levy of lust year of 3 mills.
This increase has been made necessary
because of tho somewhat increased
expense incident to tho working of the
felony convicts, and the fact that Court
House bonds amounted to $5000 become
payable on January 1st 1910. It will
require approximately one mill of this
aduitlonal levy to meet the increased
cost of road work, and approximately
twe mills of the increase levy to meet
the bonds due January 1st. We offer
for your inspection tho hooka, records,
