One of the thousands of unsolicited testimonials we receive:
Gentlemen: Several months ago 1 was very much worried about a cold I had
contracted and which had settled in mvhead, from which position it was appar
ently impossible to dislodge it; after suffering greatly fo ton days or two weeks
a friend prevailed upon me to try Ormsby’s Nasal Douche Tables, with almost
instantaneous results; in fact the results were so extremely gratifying that I
decided to continue the use of the Treatments in an endeavor to cure myself of
catarrh, with which 1 had suffered for years, and after taking the medicine ac
cording to directions for about six weeks l whs entirely cured and have not been
able to detect the slightest trace of the disease since that time,
1 also recommended the use of the Treatments to a friends who has suffered
for years from Asthma, and he has just left the office after informing me that
the Tablets ha I u-tullylcurod him; that he had not felt a trace to the old trouble
for move than two months, and that had been the longest respite he had for
about twenty years.
Now. gentlemen, this is the first time in my life that I ?have ever recom
mended in any way a so-called “patent medicine" and I hope that you will take
it as the evidence of one who sincerely appreciates the high merit of the article
that you are placing upon the market as a curative agent.
Very sincerely yours,
JOHN R. MACLEOD.

The rule about introductions is thata
man is introduced to a woman, never
the reverse. He may ask a friend in
common to introduce him, taking care
that the lady’s permission is requested.
At a dance it is expected that he should
ask to be introduced to young girls and
ask them to dance, and make himself
useful to his hostess and her guests.
If he speaks to a lady who is talking to
another n&n, it is polite for him to bow
slightly to latter as an apology for
speaking to his partner.
A man does not offer to shake hands
with a woman. He waits for her to
offer her hand first. In the street a
man raises h.s hat when bowing to a
lady; when he is with anyone who bows
to another, whether a stranger or not;
when he recognizes a man who is with
ladies; when he is with a lady and
meets a man whom he knows; when he
offers any civility to a lady who is a
stranger, it may be in a public convey
ance or elsewhere.
If he wishes to speak to a lady in the
street he raises his hat and turns and
asks her permission to walk with her
in the direction in which she is going.
He does not stand talking to her in the
street. He need not accompany her to
her destination. If he leaves her he
raises his hat. If be walks home with
her he should wait until the is admitted
before leaving her.—“The ways of
Society," in The Ladies World for
February.
