Impossible to Serve on Hoard.
Hon. W. H. Davis, of Burke county,
was appointed by Governor Brown last
Thursday a director of the Georigu Nor
mal and Industrial college nt Millodge-
ville, for the unexpire, 1 term of ,lud(ro
R, 11. Callaway, of AugustA, resigned.
This term is for six years from Janu
ary 7. 1910.

Mr. Davis is a well-known Georgian,
and lias several times represented his
county in the legislature. He has also
served as solicitor general of his cir
cuit, and will make an able addition to
the hoard.
