She is morning and evening and mid
night in one.
She's the silvery moon and the orient
sun.
She's the star-sprinkled sky and the
sun-silvered stream.
'he's a dream of a girl anJ a girl of a
dream.
1 have seen the sun rise in ner beautiful
eyes
And decline in her petulant frown;
1 have watched the stars dance in the
warmth of her glance.
At the gems in a diamonded crown;
I have caught the perfume of the roses
that bloom
In her cheeks, faintly incarnadine;
AnJ a heaven's eclipse 1 have known as
her lips
In a tender caress answered mine.
She is morning and evening and mid
night to me —
She's the gleam of the moon on the
foam of the sea.
She's the harp of the wind and the
wind's sweetest theme,
She's a dream of a girl and a girl of a
.dream,
