WAR STAMP CAMPAIGN
CONTINUES IN STATE
Atlanta, July 1.—The campaign f r
War Savings Stamps in Georgia will
be continued until the state has se

ing to Hugh Richardson, state direct
or, who states that a complete organ
ization has been secured in every,
county and the leaders will go on with
their work until Georgia has been
placed in the class where she belongs.

of the state quota.
The main reason for the failure to
secure Georgias quota on Friday, star
es Director Dlchardson, is the fact that
so many citizens pledged themselves
to buy $20 worth of War Savings
Stamps and then stopped. In order
to secure Georgia’s quota, it is neces
sary to sell an average of $20 for ev
ery man, woman and child, black and
white in the entire state. Thousands
of children cannot buy and their par
ents, rf course, must buy the quota
for the family. Thousands of slackers
and pro-Gerinans will not buy, and
loyal citizens must buy more than
their quota to make up for these,
hence a citizen who can buy $1,000
worth of stamps has not done his du
ty until he does.
Tho negroer, of the state have like
wise a complete rrgnnizetion in ev
ery county and they also will continue
iheir work until they have secured
subscriptions for the negro quota,
which is about $27,000,000.
