SERVICE OFTHANKS
TO BE HELD TONIGHT
The Allies have gained the greatest
victory of the war.
The Hun has suffered a defeat from
which he cannot recover.
It is the opinion of all thoughtful
people that the victory of the A’lles
is due to the day of prayer that Arn-
etea observed recently. Since that
'lay. it has been noticed, the Al'.'es
have not suffered even a local ehe;k..
Last week witnessed the crowning
triumph when the Hun fled lu disor
der back toward Berlin.
Should not the people giv3 thanks
to ',.od, who has so favored their
cause and their arms?
A thanksgiving service must be held
The people want such a service.
This Wednesday night, therefore,
such a thanksgiving service—a. com
munity thanksgiving service—will be
held at the Baptist Church. It will
egin at the usual time, 8:30 o’clock.
This service has been appointed in
response to the expressed desire of
a number of good people and the cor
dial approval of every patriot who is
concerned for the welfare of his coun
try.
Every one is invited to attend and
give thanks Wednesday evening—give
thanks for the victory that has crown
ed our arms, give thanks for the glo
rious conduct of our men in battle,
gice thanks for the comparatively
small number of casualties and give
thanks 'or the preservation of lives
of the men who have gone out from
orr community.
The service Wednesday night wi’l
be thoroughly informal, with a lew
brie" tuiks, several prayers and sjnt.s.
Tiier? will be no other service in
town ‘nnff.nt.
The baptist church should be crowd
ed wi.„ thoughtful men and women.

GET READY.
Now is the time that year hens will
moult or shed their featners This
process is rather slow and Nature
should be assisted. B. A. Thomas’
Poultry Remedy will help your hens
to moult causing them to shed earlier
and be ready to lay when eggs are
highest in the winter. If this remedy
does not make good, we will.
