Buffet Supper
One of the nust enjoyable event*
cf the week among the younger set
was the elaborate buffet supper given
on .Monday evening by Mrs. Will
Hines complimentary to Mrs. Camp
bell King of Sparta and her charming
guest, Miss Marjorie Daugerfield of
New York City.
Dancing was enjoyed -during the
evening, the guests including. Miss
Daugerfield, Mr. and Mrs. King, Mr.
and Mrs. Manley Smith of Sparta, Mr3.

CONSENT GIVEN FOR
SEWER PIPE LINES
Yesterday property owners on the
line surveyed tor the new sewer lines
gave their written conscent to rin
pipes to pas shrough their property
without cost to tho city. The papers
were carried to the propery owners
by Mayor Miller S. Bell and their
ccnscent was readily given.
When the line was surveyed some
time ago, there were some of the
owners who did not want to give their
consent for the sewer lines to go
through their property, but yesterday
this was overcome by their action
and nothing is now In the way of
beginning work immediately on this
work. .Mayor Bell states that the
work will be completed within four
months.
The attractive rooms are adorned
with quantities of early spring flowers
for the occasion. Those Invited are:

Miss Emmy Lou Baisden was a

night. After dancing until a late hour,

G. M. C’s basketball team has re
turned after playing several games In
South Georgia/ but met with little
success, even Coach was so down heart
ed that he tried to end It all by runn
ing in a ditch over a mile deep, mak
ing the sad team crawl out and like
wise push him out.
Air. Aubrey Jones, who is n student
at Tech, spent last week-end with bis
parents.
Miss Ethel Twitty, of Columbia, Ala.,
is the guest of Miss Eva Davis.
Air. R. L. Potts, of Richmond, Va
arrives tomorrow to spend several days
with his daughter Mrs. John Riis.
Air. John Croley, who has been re
siding in Augusta during the last year
and a half, is spending several days
in Alilledgeville.
After an extended tour of the east
visiting Washington, D. C., Baltimore,
New York, Niagra Falls end other
places of interest, Air. and Airs. W. D,
