She was a picture of girlish love
liness in her wedding gown of white
pussy willow tuffeta, trimmed with
silver lace and made with a court
train, her tulle veil fastened in place
by a wreath of orange blossoms. She
carried a bouquet of orchards and
valley lillies.
Thu bridesmaids wore gowns of
taffeta and tulle in soft pastol
shades. Miss Kathrino Tate, of
Br nswick, was maid of honor, her
gown was blue and she carried Amer
ican beauty roses. The bridesmaids
were Miss Mary Skinner, who wore
lavendar; Miss Sarah Allen, of Mil-
ledgeville, a sister of the groom, who
was gowned in green, and Miss Tullu
Jones, of Waycross, Who wore pink.
They carried bouquets of Killarney
roses tied with tulle.

Dr. Allen, and Ja.dk Reynolds a
brother of the bride, preceded the
bridal party scattering rose petals.

a brother of the groom, was best

lb Allen Is a son of Dr. and Mrs.
Henry Dawson Allen, Sr., of Milledgo-
ville, and is associated with his fa-
t e r in the managment of the Allen
sanitarium at MiUedgeville.
The bride's going-away gown was
a smart suit of dark blue cloth worn
with a close-fitting hut of brown
straw.
Immediately after the ceremony

a trip to New York, after which they
will bo at home in MiUedgeville.

An interesting affair of the week
end was the party at which Airs. Rich
ard Binicn entertained the members
of the Matron's Club and a number
of other friends. c
Rook featured the afternoon’s en

HOSTESS AT PRETTY PARTIES
Mrs. Miller S. Bell was hostess at
two lovely social affairs last week
when she entertained a large circle
of friends at rook.
The rooms, where the game was
played were made unusually attrac
tive by the addition of quantities of
pink honeysuckle.
Late in the afternoon a delicious
salad course was served, Mrs, Chas.
Davis and Miss Kathrine Turner as
sisting the hostess.
MRS. McCOMB HOSTESS
One of the most enjoyable social
affairs of the past week was the party
given by Mrs. Robert McComb at her
home on Wilkinson street.
Handsome pot plants and baskets
of cut flowers decorated the rooms
where rook was played. After the
games a delicious luncheon was
served.
